Dr. Loren Cox addresses the fact that we constantly talk about equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) but talk doesn’t necessarily translate into action. She gives a compelling, personal narrative of figuring out the missing link in EDI. Dr. Cox manages the federal policy and advocacy portfolio for a large national non-profit and is an advocate for educational equity and believes that we owe all students the opportunity to succeed. Dr. Cox previously served as the Senior Education Policy Advisor to UnidosUS, the nation’s largest Latinx civil rights organization, and as a member of the Obama Administration’s community solutions team, and a program examiner at the Office of Management and Budget.
