Quetzala Carson, a Mestizx from Manaahuac, Nicaragua who is finishing her degree in Native Studies and Latin America at the University of Alberta, speaks about the challenge of engaging in a dialogue about colonial violence and questioning the narratives that we've known to be normal. She explains the nature of colonialism and suggests strategies on how to engage and combat colonial violence with compassion.
