Apar Initiative Ltd. is an Alberta-based non-profit focused on furthering diversity and inclusion in STEM and supporting youth in developing strong leadership skills. With a goal to see more women and BIPOC (black, indigenous, and peoples of colour) in STEM fields and decision-making roles, they work with local youth to provide them with opportunities to further these skills. By integrating STEM & Leadership, they provide a unique opportunity for students to develop well-rounded skills as they navigate their academic paths. They have three core programs: 8-month long STEM & Leadership cohort running each year with intake in September, #STEMPerspectives panel sessions, and an annual leadership conference. Please visit aparinitiative.com for more information and join our mailing list to stay up-to-date with all of our events.
