Kevin Lamoureux, an award-winning scholar and Faculty member at the University of Winnipeg, explains how decolonization is a key to reconciliation. He acknowledges that decolonization is a word that often meets with resistance, fear, and hostility. He invites all Canadians to be a part of something good and to create a better version of Canada to leave as a legacy for generations to come. He explains how Canada’s Indian Act has set up systemic racism and the effects of colonization upon both indigenous and non-indigenous people.
