McMaster Indigenous Research Institute and the Indigenous Studies Program (McMaster University) with the Ryerson Centre for Indigenous Governance hosted the first joint policy symposium on Indigenous Governance, Settler Aboriginal Policy in an Era of "Real Change". The Symposium brought together Indigenous thought leaders from across Turtle Island to discuss and illuminate key policy and governance structures impacting Indigenous peoples in Canada and the United States.
