Gender inequality holds us all back. Even men, working in male-dominated industries, and living on the winning end of the gender equity equation—the sad fact is the pressures, expectations, and preconceptions of “what it means to be a man” hurt men as well. Where there is hope, though, is in men’s ability to do something about it. Even men who already know there is a problem—when it comes to equity in the workplace, and the gendered expectations in our lives—may be surprised by this: The solution to gender inequality will unlock a better life for them too.
