Federal Contractors Program applies to any groups with federal contracts of $1,000,000 or more are required to implement an employment equity program. Failure to meet the obligations under the FCP could jeopardize an institution/companies ability to bid on large federal contracts. Requirements:
1. Collect and maintain workforce information, including representation of the 4 designated groups - women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities. 2. Conduct a workforce analysis and complete an achievement report. 3. Establish short-term and long-term numerical goals and commence actions that will identify and remove employment barriers. 4. Make reasonable efforts towards having a workforce that is representative of the 4 designated groups.
