This 2021-2025 Action Plan was developed to support Ireland's National Skills Strategy 2025. This new action plan builds on the success of the previous action plan, and was heavily informed by stakeholder feedback and input. The plan contains the ambitious goal of enrolling 10,000 new apprentices in Ireland every year until 2025, and increasing the number of women apprentices. This action plan also announced the establishment of a new National Apprenticeship Office (NAO) which has the responsibility for the management, oversight, and development of Ireland's apprenticeship system and for implementing the 2021-2025 Action Plan.
