The ACT Conference for women in SETT in Atlantic Canada focuses on supporting the career progression and retention of women in SETT.
The Atlantic Connections Conference hosted by WISEAtlantic this year provides an opportunity for women in SETT from Atlantic Canada to share their experiences of studying and working in male-dominated fields, to network with others, and to develop action items with the goal of advancing women in SETT. This year the conference theme is “Supporting the Career Progression and Retention of Women in SETT”. Women and their male colleagues in SETT from a cross-section of industries, education, government and not-for-profit organizations are invited to attend. CCWESTT is a proud sponsor of the conference. For more information and to register visit the conference website at: www.atlanticconnections.ca
CCWESTT acknowledges that our greater science, engineering, trades and technology (or SETT) community is situated on the ceded and unceded traditional territories of First Nation, Inuit, and Métis peoples from coast to coast to coast in what is known as ‘Canada’. CCWESTT fervently believes SETT is enriched through collective relations and knowledge sharing and is committed to helping enhance and build these relations. Full land acknowledgement here.
